2015年，富士通母公司决定了两件大事：一是确定将手机制造业务重心转向「Rakuraku」，即老龄化群体细分市场；二是决定拆分富士通手机业务。2016年FCNT正式作为富士通全资子公司开始独立运营，与此同时原属于富士通外设公司（Fujitsu Peripherals Limited）的移动设备制造业务被分拆，成立了新公司 Japan E.M.
